Hot IPTV not working: errors, empty lists and buffering
Most Hot IPTV problems come from the playlist, not the app: a link pasted incompletely, a playlist added to the wrong MAC address, or an ended trial. Re-add the full M3U link to the MAC address shown in the app, restart the TV, and test a second channel before anything else.
Find your problem
| What you see | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| "Cannot communicate with your playlist" | Link incomplete, wrong MAC, or plan ended | Re-add the full link to the MAC shown in the app; restart |
| Empty channel list | Playlist not linked yet | Add the playlist, then fully close and reopen the app |
| Error code on one channel | That stream is down | Try another channel or its HD version |
| Error code on every channel | Home network | Restart router and TV; cable or 5 GHz Wi-Fi |
| Buffering in the evening | Busy Wi-Fi | Cable, 5 GHz, or HD instead of 4K |
| App asks to activate | App activation (developer) | Follow the app's activation steps; separate from your playlist |
MAC address mix-ups
The MAC address that matters is the one displayed inside Hot IPTV, not the TV network MAC in the TV settings. If you reinstalled the app or changed TV, the MAC may be different — add the playlist again to the new one. Setup steps are in the Hot IPTV app setup guide.
Buffering
Restart the router (30 seconds off), move the TV to a cable or 5 GHz Wi-Fi, and close other heavy downloads. More in IPTV Hot internet speed.

Frequently asked questions
Why does Hot IPTV say it cannot communicate with the playlist?
The app cannot load the link it was given: the M3U link was pasted incompletely, the playlist was added to a different MAC address, or the subscription has ended. Re-add the full link to the MAC shown in the app and restart.
What does Hot IPTV error 105 mean?
In players like Hot IPTV, a code like this usually points to a network problem reaching the stream. Restart the router and TV, try a cable or 5 GHz Wi-Fi, and test another channel.
Why does Hot IPTV keep buffering?
Mostly Wi-Fi strength or a busy home network in the evening. A cable, 5 GHz Wi-Fi or the HD version of the channel fixes most cases.
My Hot IPTV trial expired — what now?
There are two different trials: the app's own activation trial (handled by the app developer) and the IPTV Hot playlist trial. If the channels stopped, your playlist trial ended; if the app itself locks, its activation needs renewing with its developer.
